About
Killian Wright is an accomplished classical composer, specialising in film and media compositions. Described as ‘Inventive, terrifying and cataclysmic’ (Electronic Sound), Killian’s music is multifaceted and spans many genres including, classical, electronic and instrumental.
Killian has collaborated on projects for Lambda Films, University of East Anglia and Wayout TV, with commissions to write orchestral music for the Wymondham Symphony Orchestra, Wymondham Baroque Ensemble, Norfolk County String Quartet and the Norfolk County Wind Band.
Furthermore, Killian has also scored for numerous short films, including the award-winning ‘The Great Conjunction’, as well as: ‘The Vulgariser’, ‘Kill Your Darlings’ and ‘Misfortune’. In addition to composition, Killian is experienced in sound design, foley and audio engineering.
Awarded a scholarship at Royal Holloway University, Killian has undertaken a Bachelor of Music degree, specialising in classical composition and performance. As a musician, Killian has achieved a Trinity College Diploma in Piano Performance, as well as a Grade 8 Distinctions in Music Theory and Performance. He has also conducted for The Wymondham Symphony Orchestra and The Norfolk County Wind Band.
Mentored by established composers and experts in their fields: David Stowell, Nathan James Dearden and Nina Whiteman, Killian has developed an evocative and unique voice, conjuring music that is daring, powerful and immaculately crafted.
